Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I place my own ads on the site?
A: No.

Q: Can I block certain advertisers' ads from appearing within my Recipe Central experience?
A: We make every effort to ensure that the ads we serve contain safe content that is appropriate for all audiences. We make every reasonable effort to exclude any potentially objectionable advertising content from the Recipe Central experience, including, but not limited to, ads that promote violence, weapons, hate speech, illegal activities, adult content and pornography, religion, gambling, illegal drugs or other activities which are illegal or unlawful within the jurisdiction of the United States. However, we do not allow site owners to block specific advertisers' content from appearing on their Recipe Central sites. If you encounter an ad that you find objectionable, please contact us for further assistance.

Q: What code can I use in the Custom HTML/CSS section?
We allow most standard HTML tags, with a few exceptions: no header, footer, or meta tags; no forms, iframes, Javascript (inline or linked) or any other scripting language.

All CSS is allowed, either inline with "style=" tag, added to the CSS input field in the styling form, or externally linked using:

<link rel='stylesheet' href='youstylesheet.com/yourfile.css' type='text/css' media='all' />

The stylesheets will be loaded as follows: Core CSS -> External CSS -> Styling Form CSS. Any inline CSS will be loaded last. In order to help keep your CSS from affecting the core styling, please attempt to target your custom code as specifically as possible. For example:

div.yourheader a {color:#ff0000;}
<div class="yourheader"><a href="http://example.com"></div>
